Job Description

This highly regarded centre is lcoated in a serene location, nestled at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with ample outdoor natural spaces.

The centre is looking for their next leader to be part of an already well established team. The close knit team has undergone many changes but has always maintained and reflected a strong connection with families in a vibrant and diverse community.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the early childhood education center.
  2. Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive curriculum that promotes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of young children.
  3. Recruit, hire, train, and supervise teaching staff, ensuring that they adhere to best practices in early childhood education.
  4. Create a positive and nurturing environment that fosters the growth and development of each child.
  5. Maintain open and effective communication with parents, addressing their concerns and providing regular updates on their child's progress.
  6. Ensure compliance with all licensing, accreditation, and regulatory requirements governing early childhood education centers.
  7. Manage the day-to-day operations of the center, including budgeting, scheduling, enrollment, and record-keeping.
  8. Conduct regular assessments of the center's programs and services, implementing improvements as needed.
  9. Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development among staff members.
  10. Foster positive relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and other early childhood education professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification/license in early childhood education.

  • Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
