About The Company:
We are a well-established Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC) not for profit company located in the North Shore area located on the grounds of a primary school. This means the children are being nurtured in OSHC in a way which is aligned with how they are taught and cared for within school hours.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator with a Diploma (or working towards it). We are looking for a part-time educator, this position is unique as it works with 4 year olds to 12 year olds, you can bring your creative and engaging ideas to the program. We are integrating 4-5-year-olds into after-school care at the Preschool and OSHC. The hours will be 5 hours/day, Tues-Thurs 1:15-6:15pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation of a high-quality educational program that aligns with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Framework for School Age Care - My Time, Our Place and the Early Years Learning Framework - Belonging, Being & Becoming
- Collaborate closely with the Nominated Supervisor to offer strategic guidance and provide the necessary resources to design, implement, and continuously improve a dynamic and innovative after-school program
- Participate in professional development opportunities as required and keep up-to-date with current industry trends. Share this knowledge with the other educators at the service.
- Contribute to the development of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Attend service social/community events as required
- Co-operate and work collaboratively with families, ensuring regular communication regarding the care and specific needs of their children, and ensuring that families feel comfortable and encouraged to become involved in the service
Requirements:
* Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or working towards)
* First Aid, WWC clearance, and Child Protection training
* Strong teamwork and leadership skills
* Ability to create inclusive, high-quality programs
* This role requires you to have Australian citenzship and permanent residency.
