This centre is a family-owned and operated private long day care centre located in the rural area of Orchard Hills. Set on 6.5 acres of open land, the centre provides a unique early learning environment and caters for up to 131 children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
Purpose built to support high quality early childhood education, the centre features expansive natural outdoor play spaces, including two age specific environments designed to reflect the centre's rural surroundings. These spaces promote sensory exploration, curiosity, and meaningful engagement with nature.
A distinctive aspect of the centre is its integration of farm life into the daily program. Children and educators have opportunities to interact with a variety of animals-including cows, sheep, alpacas, horses, goats, rabbits, and chickens-participate in tractor and trailer rides and explore sustainable play areas that encourage discovery and connection to the natural world.
About the Role
Applications are invited for a Full Time Early Childhood Teacher role. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership experience, a commitment to high quality pedagogy, and the ability to support colleagues in delivering engaging, play based learning programs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Create a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment for all children.
- Lead your room with confidence, supporting children in reaching developmental milestones and preparing them for their next stage of learning.
- Work collaboratively with your team to achieve the best outcomes for children and their families.
- Contribute to the delivery of a high quality, inclusive, and educational program.
- Engage in ongoing professional and personal development.
- Represent and promote the service within the local community in alignment with its vision, mission, and values.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- ACECQA approved university degree in Education/Teaching/Early Childhood Education and current NESA Teacher Accreditation.
- Current First Aid CPR and emergency Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
- Food handling certificate.
- Child Protection Certificate (Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk CHCPRT025)
- Current WWCC
- Demonstrate a strong competence across all areas of practice, including the EYLF and associated documentation.
- Maintain a clear understanding of industry standards, regulations, and professional expectations.
- Serve as a positive role model and provide guidance to fellow educators.
- Confidently take on a leadership role, overseeing and supporting high quality practice within the team.
