Centre Director / Nominated Supervisor

Our client is seeking an experienced and inspiring Centre Director/Nominated Supervisor to lead one of Sydney's most unique early learning services.

This is a rare opportunity to take the reins of a well-established, high-performing centre where children, families and educators are genuinely at the heart of everything they do.

About Our Client

Our client operates a purpose-built early learning service unlike any other. Set across 6.5 acres in a beautiful farm-inspired environment, the centre offers children authentic opportunities to connect with nature, sustainability, agriculture and animal care as part of their everyday learning.

With spacious natural play environments, a strong educational philosophy and a commitment to child safety, the service has built an outstanding reputation within its local community.

Following the transition of a long-standing Centre Director into a new role after nine successful years, our client is now seeking an experienced leader to continue building on the exceptional foundations already in place.

The Opportunity

Leading a licensed 131-place service, you'll oversee all aspects of the centre's operations while inspiring a passionate team to deliver outstanding outcomes for children and families.

This is a non-teaching leadership role supported by an experienced management structure, including a dedicated Administration team, non-contact Educational Leader/2IC, Operations Manager and highly engaged Approved Provider.

You'll be empowered to lead with confidence while bringing your own leadership style and vision to an already successful service.

Key Responsibilities

As Centre Director, you will:

  • Lead the daily operations of the service
  • Mentor, coach and develop a high-performing team
  • Foster a positive, collaborative and child-safe culture
  • Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework, Education and Care National Law and Regulations
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development
  • Build strong relationships with children, families and the wider community
  • Oversee occupancy, enrolments, staffing, rostering and centre performance
  • Work collaboratively with the Educational Leader to deliver a high-quality educational program aligned with the EYLF and National Quality Standards

About You

Our client is looking for a confident and experienced early childhood leader who combines operational excellence with genuine passion for children, families and educator development.

You'll bring:

  • An ACECQA-approved Diploma or Bachelor's qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Minimum two years' experience leading a medium to large early learning service
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards and Education and Care Regulations
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams, maintaining compliance and driving quality outcomes
  • Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skills
  • A commitment to creating safe, inclusive and engaging environments for children

What's on Offer

Our client offers an outstanding leadership opportunity with:

  • Above Award salary package plus superannuation
  • Six-week structured handover with the outgoing Centre Director
  • Non-teaching leadership position
  • Strong occupancy and established systems
  • Dedicated Administration support
  • Non-contact Educational Leader/2IC
  • Supportive Operations Manager and Approved Provider
  • 30% childcare discount
  • Mobile phone
  • Free onsite parking
  • Ongoing professional development
  • Two-week Christmas closure
  • A long-standing, collaborative team culture
  • Beautiful natural outdoor learning environments unlike any other in Sydney
