Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time Centre Director to build a team with a mission of providing exceptional care and education to children in the early years. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of a 100-place centre and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make the centre a meaningful place for children and families in the community. You will be involved in the initial set up of the service, recruiting for your team and setting a preset of how you want the centre to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Oversee the implementation of a high-quality educational program that aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and reflects best practices in early childhood education.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, staff, schools and the community.
  • Ensure the centre operates in compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, and procedures, including licensing requirements.
  • Manage the centre's budget and targets effectively, including attendance and ensuring financial sustainability.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and education provided to children.
  • Actively participate in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or ACECQA approved equivalent.
  • Significant experience working in early childhood education, including previous leadership or management roles.
  • Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability and willingness to stay up to date with changes within the Early Years and to continue to learn and develop your skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards governing early childhood education and care.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • Working With Children Check clearance.
